The Hospital gave off an air of efficiency and calmness. The premises were spotless , the rooms were equally spotless and comfortable. All of the staff that I came in contact with ( nursng, medical and ancillary)were friendly and helpful and made me feel at ease.

Although only a day patient I was delighted with everything that I encountered. Nice bright, clean hospital. Very pleasant staff , what more can I say?

I was here for spinal surgery under Mr Al Mafoudh. Cross referred via NHS. At no time did I receive any less excellent care than if I had been an insured or self funding patient, and I have been both in the past. This was my 15th general anaesthetic operation, so I have quite a lot of experience of hospitals. The nursing staff were all excellent Brian, Mark and Keidi. The lady from catering whose name I didn't catch was also lovely. My anaesthetist Mr Waldon was very good and listened to my experience of collapsed veins and did not try to persuade me unlike previous ones who thought they had more experience of MY hand than they did! Pre and post checks carried out with friendly staff Jenny and Claire. I will report on surgeon separately when it has all settled down, but I have no reason to think it will be anything but the best possible outcome. A 5* review I am sure.

Whilst sticking to all the Covid protocols the staff were very understanding in allowing me to stay with my husband who has dementia. This gave him much reassurance and understanding of the procedures.

It's very welcoming and all the staff are genuinely friendly and caring. My whole experience was fantastic. Not sure about the coffee though! Use an independent and have a proper coffee machine!

The staff were very good but there were restrictions due to the pandemic. There was at times some staff shortages. The food at the hospital was well below the standard I would expect for a private hospital. I was in hospital for nearly 3 days and only had one decent meal. The rest were uneatable.

I first meet Mr Al-Mahfoudh in October 2019 when I was in spinal cord compression. He immediately put me at ease and I felt total confidence and trust in him . My operation for T6/7. Laminectomy and resection of a tumour was very successful and I regained my full mobility from needing a wheelchair & Zimmer frame back to the dance floor . Under mri surveillance, Mr Al-Mahfoudh picked up that the tumour had started to grow again and I needed another operation. I felt very thankful that I was under his expert care and cannot thank him enough for saving my mobility. He has an excellent bedside manner and took time to explain to me what was happening, he answered any questions that I had and made me feel safe in his hands. I would highly recommend him as a world class neuro surgeon ! The Nuffield and its staff are wonderfully professional and kind.
